With regards to everyone who believes it would make more sense for Jack to run for Congress instead of Governor, has anyone taken into account the fact he has a young family?
Congress requires a commitment to Washington not Delaware.
I have seen a pattern in comments in some posts to “do the right thing” and run for Congress.
Given his childrens ages, his decision is much more complex than I think people are given him credit for.
The question that Tom Carper needs to answer is why didn’t he tell Carney to run for Congress?
It’s posts like that (and the similar comments that are exchanged in private) that will begin the bloodbath you’re convinced isn’t coming.
It won’t be Jack attacking John or vice versa. It will start as a supporter-vs-supporter thing.
I don’t see it.

Bottom Line: Markell has a lot of support from the Dem voters. He also has a lot of support from the GOP voters.
If Carney goes against Castle, all of a sudden he can build off of Markell’s support instead of splitting it.
The smart move is obvious.
John Carney is still the favorite in the Democrat side. There are many reasons for this status.
Take a look at who shows up on primary day. Remember who is considered the loyal member of the two guys running. Examine who can put a tested machine on the ground for a primary day.
Yes, the money looks impressive but if that were so we would have President Forbes or Prseident Gramm or California would have had Governor Cheeci who ran and finished third behind Gray Davis( the party choice who got recalled later) despite Cheeci spending over $30 million of his own money.
Mike Protack doesn’t know ‘jack’ about the democrats. He should be so perceptive when it comes to the republican party who just wants him to go away.
I ‘back Jack’ and so can you.
John is a political hack to the nth degree no wonder Reps. are considering Jack…he may have the good sense to hire a few…no chance w/Carper’s boy.
