Walgreens Vs. Happy Harry’s

Filed in National by on January 14, 2008

An informal survey conducted over the weekend tells me that Walgreen’s is slightly better than Happy Harrys.

HH has a nostalgic hold on some long time Delawareans and Walgreens pharmacy keeps it’s inventory so low that you stand a good chance of getting a partial for anything off the beaten track.

Overall, however, Walgreens eeks out win.

I must disagree. I have had more problems with the Walgreen’s pharmacy in the last 6 months than I had with HH over the last 30+ years. They have cut back their pharmacy hours and almost always fail to fill the 90 day prescriptions my doctor writes. The local store is much more crowded and you don’t seem to get the same personal touch as you did before.

@Lee. The Walgreen’s near my house is open 24-7 — the pharmacy. Also, most of the Walgreen pharmacies are open till 10pm. I’ve found the pharmacy to be much better than HH.

However, HH wins out for shear comedic value. Come on, a drug store called Happy Harry’s?

The is some kinda f’ up every month for me….I have 12 Rx and these folks have me running back and forth several times a month. As to ‘shear comedic’value to me it’s that a pharmacy sells cigarettes, etc. Talk about job security……….

As long as I can get me Magnums at Walgreen’s it doesn’t matter to me! šŸ˜‰

No kidding Cracker, but I felt a bit less pressure when they just called them Trojan Large…
