Comment Rescue – Kavips Has an Idea Forming in His(Her?) Head

Filed in National by on February 19, 2008

Referring to the DV and Duffy get together, Delaware’s most anonymous blogger muses…

We look forward to more examples of “beer therapy” Actually Drinking liberally is coming up, when? But that cuts out half of the fun crowd. A better tradition would be served by having an informal “Delaware Drunk Bloggers” session, open to all…..The combination of beer, politics, discussion, and witty repartee, covering both sides of discussion, would be intriguing. I believe the last time it was tried was around 1775, by a guy named Samuel Adams in British controlled Boston. Who knows what might happen if we try it here?

Maybe the idea for the banquet was too grandiose? Maybe we should get have some beers and bring Allan Loudell in to deliver the key note from the bar-stool in the geographical center of the bar?

I wasn’t kidding in the comments section of DV’s about it being more difficult to call people losers and frauds after having a beer with them.  Familiarity breeds less contempt.

Program Note: Who is up for live blogging the results tonight? Does it mark me a complete loser to admit that I’ve been looking forward to it?

will be live blogging I think. It is my anniversary though so

    well

give me five minutes around 8:30 and I’ll be back.

    FYI:

I’m more than happy to have a Drinking Bloggerly at my house. I think if the right and the left blogosphere can get along perhaps we can move past the paritisan crap.

Oh and Hube wouldn’t be invited

  5. jason330 says:

I actual have had a beer with Hube befor and he is a pretty decent guy in real life.

A total ass on the blogs, but that is probably due to the fact that his glorious Bush revolution is turning to shit before his very eyes.

I mean, I’d be testy too if everything I believed to be true turned out to be a festering, putrid pack of lies.

I should also reiterate that I’m not staying up until the Hawaii polls close. I gotta work in the morning. Joe M, since you don’t have to work, Hawaii is all yours… And no gay jokes in the process. 🙂

I wish Carper and Biden had never had that beer with Castle.

Then maybe you should invite Hube. He can pay for the Politically Correct Beverages of our choice…:)
But you could also use the occasion to plot out how to get the gubernatorial candidates to appear for bloggers for a real debate. In person, so Protack’s sockpuppets don’t overrun the field.

I’m up for liveblogging tonite, but can’t stay up til the Hawaii polls close. But am kicking myself that I did not offer to take the field trip to live blog the results in situ.

  9. Joe M says:

I’ll try for Hawaii, but after a 12.5 hour workday, I may not be able to make it. If only that coffee/beer from the Drew Carrey Show existed…

  10. Joe M says:

PS: Geek, what’s your email address?

  11. liberalgeek says:

you can reach any of us at our handles (e.g. liberalgeek) at delawareliberal.net.

  13. David says:

Joe M, just drink Red Bull and Vodka, you’ll either be fine or dead.

  14. Joe M says:

I think I’ll stick to chances that are a little less… polarized.

  15. nemski says:
