From The Hill

Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.), the Democratic Party’s 2000 vice presidential nominee, is leaving open the possibility of giving a keynote address on behalf of Sen. John McCain (Ariz.) at the Republican National Convention in September.

From Senator Carper’s valet Communications Director Bill Ghent back in August of 2006:

Jason — The statement i sent you earlier on Lieberman is still accurate. The senator said before primary that he would support Lieberman’s independent candidacy and he’s not changed his mind. He sees this as an issue of loyalty to his good friend …

I hope Senator Tom Carper is happy that the “loyalty” that he extended to “his good friend” is being so well repaid.

Related Note: Pssst…. Yo, Carper staffer. Yes you. I know you are reading this right now.  Do me a favor and the next time TC walks out of the room give him the finger for me while his back is turned.

You will..?

Cool.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Torturin’ Tom doesn’t introduce Lieberman at the RNC when Hillary loses.
