Make it so people knew and actually cared about the absurdities that go on in the state senate and house.

A real 4th estate newspaper would be nice.

  6. X Stryker says:

I wish people voted the bums out like Al Wynn was in Maryland. Damned culture of annointment, that’s what I’d change. These guys should be beholden to us, not the other way round. Delaware incumbents should know the taste of fear!

  7. Savy Politico says:

Rid the (entire) state of its ‘permanent government’ and their blood relatives.

  8. June says:

What I’d change politically about Delaware would be MOST of the politicians!!

  9. R Smitty says:

Runoff-style elections or the banishing of political parties from the election booth (no party indentification or alignment on the polling sheets in the booth).

  10. Anon says:

I wouldn’t change so much about Delaware Politics as I would the lack of interest of Delaware’s constituency. If more people took an interest, the bad politicians wouldn’t survive election after election. Honestly, it’s not the electeds fault they keep getting re-elected…it’s the voters fault for re-electing the ones who don’t measure up to our expectations.

  11. Von Cracker says:

    Mail-in ballots.

  12. Frieda Berryhill says:

“Honestly, it’s not the electeds fault they keep getting re-elected…it’s the voters fault ”””

  13. anon,

you are disqualified! you only get one…now the whole thing is ruined!

  14. AnotherAnon says:

So… the voters aren’t where we need them to be?

Delaware is a blue state that has rejected the Republican philosophy. While there are Dem incumbents who need to be removed, it is difficult to blame the voters for not electing their Republican opponents.

I blame Dem leadership for not offering better choices. The Markell vs. Carney primary is actually a good sign, but it is an aberration that only happened because Dem leadership failed in their attempts to squash it.

  15. Duffy says:

Change all Democrats and Republicans to libertarians.

Seriously though, 2 term limits for all political posts. If you can’t get it done in two terms there’s no reason to be there anyway.
