Comment Rescue: Let’s Be Friends!

Today is the first day of my reconcilation with Dominique and the rest of you Clinton partisans. You lost and that hurts I know.

That’s why I wrote:

I feel for you guys. I honestly do. I’d be just as whacked out and shrill if Obama lost. I swear I would. I’d be saying that I was going to vote for McCain…the works…

And I’m not kidding when I say that I know EXACTLY how you feel. But I know that I’ve been a bit of and ass along the way and I know simply saying I’m sorry is not going to cut it, so I’m not stopping at that.

I want to have you guuys over to my house sometime for drinks and maybe some burgers on the grill. We are all Democrats right? We all want the country back on track right? Most of all we all want to get beyond this unhappy chapter in our party’s history right? So let’s be friends. I know it sounds corny, but I’m a corny guy.

Let me know in the comments if the prospect of a “unity cookout” holds any appeal to anyone.

It could be cool and it works. I just had my Dad over for such a cookout and he was a huge Hillary person.

We discovered that we still like each other provided we don’t talk about each other’s candidiate.

Yes it’s over and now I’ll have a decision to make can I support a candidate who was picked in a smoke filled backroom deal by a bunch of party hacks.

It’s really ironic that the Obama supporters who were crying about the Super Delegates having an unfair advantage when they thought they might go for Hillary are now the recipient of their largeness

The most accurate statement you’ve ever made. Except “a bit” is a big understatement.
