I love that MSNBC cut off McCain’s speech to announce Obama’s the nominee. I know that’s petty, but tonight is the Dems’ night!

It’ll make you look like the cottage cheese in the lime jello salad” Always a good look for an older gentlemen.

The aesthetics of McCain’s speech, just mercifully completed, before a slightly energized crowd of literally dozens, was awesome in how dreadful it was. No matter what Harold Ford thinks. – eschaton

    Ha!

I suffered through it. He was really trying to distance himself from Bush. Harped on Obama voting on the energy bill

Hunter, on dKos, has the perfect short version of McCain’s speech:

” My fellow Americans, please pay attention to me. Please, please, please. I’m giving this speech because I think I deserve some attention tonight too. I’m not really like Bush. I like horses just fine. I can talk in complete sentences.

Sweet Jesus, just give me a little air time here. I’m begging you.”

The democratic party put forward a great field of candidates. There were more than just the last two that I would have voted for. Two leaders emerged and duked it out in an historic style. It got ugly and was as close as anything I’ve ever seen. It was interesting to listen to Sen. Clinton. Now I will listen to Sen. Obama. Despite all of the tension of the last months, I’m damn proud of my party.

Neither of them have enough Delegates yet, seems arrogant to claim you’ve won when in fact, you haven’t …
