Yes. For God sake’s yes. Brett Favre has been holding Green Bay hostage for the last four years with the annual “Will He Retire” game after the end of every season.

The saddest site in sports is when an athlete hangs on too long.

I have to weigh in on this one, because I am a major Favre fan, bordering on a huge crush. His underhand-shovel-pass at the end of last season, and his high-five to the referee were classic Favre moments.

Green Bay is my “second team” (Eagles first, of course).

That being said, Brett should retire. His day is done. He should move on. Let us keep the memories, and stop embarassing everyone with this game-playing. It’s getting old (as is he).

    Sigh.

Hell yes. My fear has been that Andy Reid (having worked with him in Green Bay) would pick him up.

I agree. At this point, he is reminding me of a boxer that wants to get back in the ring, at the risk of losing everything. It is demeaning to the Brett Favre of yesteryear.

Me and the Mrs are huge Packer fans. He should stay retired. What was he thinking? The kind of team he had last year he should have decided against retiring. His annual talk of retirement was getting tiring.

  6. mike w. says:

Karmicjay – As a packers fan myself I totally agree. He needs to retire.

  7. Call It says:

No. He should come out of retirement to hold Green Bay hostage for the next month and ruin his own legacy. Oh. wait.
