Dana Garrett picked up on something I totally missed:
Republican gubernatorial candidate Bill Lee today hinted at some trouble in his campaign staff. Some “personnel changes” needed to be made:“We had some turmoil in our fundraising and made some personnel changes. There were a couple weeks of transition there.” (source)
I really don’t care which Republican lost his or her job in the campaign. Indeed, I am in favor of all Republicans losing their campaign jobs. But I post this only to point out that it is never wise to explain away your poor fundraising totals by blaming turmoil caused by your campaign staff. It is not something that inspires confidence in your ability to not only run a campaign, but also run the state.
