No big deal…just an abuse of power…she’s perfect for the GOP as VP

Filed in National by on September 4, 2008

Who cares…as Tom Brokaw said, this is just a “speedbump” for her.

wrote e-mails that harshly criticized Alaska state troopers for failing to fire her former brother-in-law and ridiculed an internal affairs investigation into his conduct.

The e-mails, never before made public, were shown to The Washington Post by a former public safety commissioner, Walter Monegan, who was fired by Palin in July. Monegan has given copies of the e-mails to state ethics investigators to support his contention that he was dismissed for failing to fire Trooper Mike Wooten, who at the time was feuding with Palin’s family.

and don’t forget it is a bipartisan investigation…

Palin had promised to cooperate with the legislative inquiry, but this week she hired a lawyer to fight to move the case to the jurisdiction of the state personnel board, which Palin appoints. Her attorney, Thomas V. Van Flein, challenged the jurisdiction of Stephen Branchflower, the retired prosecutor hired to investigate and report back to the legislature by the last week of October.

Such abuse of power! How dare she try to get a trooper fired that threated to KILL her father if her sister hired a lawyer. By all means, lets keep unstable individuals like that as state troopers.

You want abuse of power….two words..Ted Kennedy!

I watched on C-SPAN which kept showing the audience responding to Sarah Who? It was like watching an asylum for rich people — crazy, white rich people. Rich people so run amok with their power that they are completely removed from reality. At first it was funny and then it became sorta horrifying, like a Batman comic.

  3. Rebecca says:

    Uh Chris,

In case you missed it, Ted Kennedy did not get the Democratic nomination to be president. Or Vice President. He lost. And that’s why he lost.

Nobody cheered for him from our convention floor until years and years later when he was dying of cancer.

  4. Rebecca says:

    Uh Chris,

We don’t market damaged goods to the American people. We don’t have to.

That’s all the Republicans have so their spin machine is in top gear all the time.

  5. mike w. says:

Actually SHE didn’t hire the lawyer, the state hired one on her behalf, since she’s the Governor. That’s standard procedure when a sitting gov. official is sued.

And don’t forget this suit was brought by her 06′ republican rival whom she beat to become Governor.

  6. Bookem says:

Uh Rebecca, Chris is right. Every governor in every state has dealt with this kind of issue. And yes, even your god Clinton has I would bet.

And now Sarah’s lawyer is trying to shut down the independent investigation to send the complaint to her cronies on the Ethics committee. And they are refusing to release emails George Bush-style.

“Good article this morning at Politico . . .”

More like bitter article at being called out. Honestly, I, and most conservatives would not mind the media asking the questions if they ever bothered to do it for the Democrats. They seek to rip Palin a new one and do nothing but softball and prop up their man. If they treated both sides equally..there would be no issue.

I love the conservative ‘victim’ meme….

    …whhhhaaaaaaaahhh!

You guys certainly play that card enough. It’s only fair that the right get to do so from time to time.
