  1. June says:

I guess I could be seen as being naive, but I don’t like to see Obama getting into this mud-slinging, even though McCain started it with Bill Ayers.

  2. Donsquishy says:

it keeps the focus on the economy though and why mccain wants to avoid it

  3. Bad move on Obama’s part. I agree with June.

  4. anonone says:

I agree with June, too. Leave it to surrogates.

  5. mike w. says:

The gloves have been off for a while now, on both sides.

Of course only one candidate had promised to stay above partisan, attack dog politics and be a “new kind of politician.” As usual, Obama’s actions don’t reflect his words.

  6. So that excuses McCain’s actions, Mike?

  7. Unstable Isotope says:

I think McCain’s actions are very relevant to what we’re seeing today. It shows what McCain was doing last time there was a banking crisis.

  8. mike w. says:

“So that excuses McCain’s actions, Mike?”

No, it doesn’t. I do however expect politics as usual from politicians.

Obama however made it a point of his entire campaign to be a “new kind of politician” who would transcend the usual partisan politics. His inability to do so is just another in a long line of broken promises and lies made during his campaign. I wonder, is there anything Obama says where we can expect him to stay true to his words?

If he’s going to talk the talk he’d better walk the walk. So far he hasn’t. Oh, since his actions are never in line with his words why in the hell should I trust him to have the judgment necessary to be President? From what I’ve seen the man has no integrity whatsoever.

  9. anonone says:

Go crawl back under your white hood, Mike W.

  10. mike w. says:

ooooooo race-baiting again. Have anything original or relevant to bring to the table Anonone?

  11. Oh lord, anonone. What a dumb comment.

Mike W., I haven’t had enough conservatives on my talk show. Would you like to come on sometime? It’d have to be by phone. That is, unless you’d like to drive to Sussex!

One of the topics today is: The politics of going negative. This certainly fits in!

  12. anonone says:

    Mike Matthews,

Then you obviously aren’t familiar with this racist troll’s comments on this blog, such as referring to Obama being qualified only because he is “black, liberal, and charismatic”.

Yes, let your talk show be an amplifier for racist gun nuts like Mike W. I keep wanting to think you’re smarter than that.

  13. Von Cracker says:

Hey, if living in a bamboo box 40 years ago is relevant, then a person’s underhanded dealings with someone who cost taxpayers billions 25 years ago should be even more relevant.

Keating calls into question McCain’s judgment and character. So just because you don’t like it doesn’t make it not worthwhile for discussion.

  14. mike w. says:

Anon hasn’t been here long yet he’s eagerly jumped on the “any criticism of Obama is racism” bandwagon.

If he’s this insecure about race issues he’s hardly worth talking to.

His labeling me a racist from the get go just shows his gross ignorance.

Von – I agree. Past associations are fair game. Naturally that includes McCain’s.

  15. anonone says:

    Mike the Racist:

‘Tis your own words, not I, that have labeled you a racist.

  16. Von Cracker says:

Well, jumping on the far-right’s attempt to blame the mortgage crisis on the ‘low income’ community initiative when there is ample evidence proving otherwise, shows a latent ‘something’ now, huh?

  17. mike w. says:

We’ll just have to agree to disagree then Anon. People in real life don’t consider me racist, including my black friends, black co-workers, and black supervisor. (and yes, we do talk about race issues & politics)

Those people matter, and I could care less what one anonymous, ignorant, race-baiting fool thinks of my comments here on DL.

Von – Spare me the bullshit about that having anything to do with racism.

  18. Von Cracker says:

There’s a difference between guilt by association (aka – Ayers) and guilt by deeds (aka – Keating).

Guilt by association…hum…Liddy, North, McCain and his Vietnamese captors, Hagee, Haggard, Bin Laden…we could go on all day.

McCain should just shut the fuck up before he destroys his chance at keeping his Senate seat.

  19. Von Cracker says:

    You will not be spared!

Roll in the mud; expect to get dirty….so think for yourself, please – and don’t go around being someone else’s bullhorn.

  20. Mike,

    Re: my invite?

Anonone, you’re still a fucking moron. It’s obviously easier for you to label and categorize people than to look at everyone as individuals.

  21. anonone says:

    Mike Matthews:

There are plenty of trolls on this blog that don’t like Obama that don’t write the racist crap that Mike W. has and I don’t call them racists.

So why don’t you try getting off your holier than thou bandwagon and not sucking up to racists just to try to get guests for your “talk show”?

  22. Anonone:

How about you shut the fuck up and save your dumb shit for a call in to my show? I’ll have you for lunch! We had it out on another thread where I called you out. Let’s not do it again here.

  23. Donsquishy says:

    dude

don’t you have your own blog to troll for listeners?

I mean seriously man, you are sort of crossing a line Mike.

  24. Donsquishy says:

it’s like going in to Target and Asking people to come over and shop at Walmart….

  25. G Rex says:

So, is it cool to go after Barney Frank, whose former lover (Herb Moses) was an assistant director at Fannie Mae at the time Frank was busily loosening regulations for that agency? Or am I just gay-bashing?

  26. Huh? Crossing a line? C’mon, you’re accusing ME of crossing a line? Aren’t we all just having fun here after all?

  27. Donsquishy says:

does howard stern visit opie andanthony and ask their listeners to come on his show?

  28. anonone says:

    Mike M.

“We had it out on another thread where I called you out.”

    You are such a child.

    g’bye!

  29. G Rex says:

    Bababooie! Bababooie!
