TPM asks…Will McCain Man Up?

Will McCain make eye contact with Obama?

Will he finally have the nerve to bring up Bill Ayers to Obama’s face, as he’s been doing all week on the stump, or flinch like last week?

    I think he has to man up. I also think he’s found himself in a corner and is asking himself how did I get here? (h/t David Byrne)

    Tonight’s debate is going to be very interesting. How does McCain bring up Ayers, etc. – a smear the country ain’t buying, btw – and not look nasty, angry or crazy? Seriously, is there any way he can pull this off?

    I hope he does bring it up, so my prediction in the earlier thread (bitchslapping and a throwdown) comes true. Might just cause me to turn off the Phillies game.
