Great…now I have to copy/paste my comments over to here! Total Democrat move on this Republican! Conspiracy!!!! 😛

Hamels was a worthy choice for series MVP.

FWIW, among the other possible choices:
Utley had the best avg among the starters with .353, Burrell was second with .333, and Ruiz was third with .313. Yes, I said Ruiz. Give him (Ruiz) some credit, tho, he really did do a great job behind the plate with all the breaking junk the Phils pitchers know how to throw real well.

The rest of the starters kinda sucked with their avg. Tampa can hit the hell out of the ball, so that lineup better wake the hell up.

    Rollins: .143
    J Werth: .190
R Howard: .300 (thanks in large part to tonight)
    S Victorino: .222
    P Feliz: .154

    😯

I was at game 4 in 1993, which the Phillies led 14-9 in the eighth inning and lost, 15-14. I was at the Super Bowl in Jacksonville a few years ago, and the Eagles laid an egg. This should be our year. (And no, I will not be at any of the games.)

    Go Phils!!!

  6. delawaredem says:

I was at Game 5 in 1993 too, Another Mike.

Ugh, if we had won that game, we would have led 3-2 going into Toronto. I liked our chances.

Hooray Phillies! I’m not a baseball fan, but I will watch the World Series now.

  8. Being a Libertarian, I like rooting for teams that are better overall, but aren’t going to win… so I still have hopes the Red Sox will pull one out tonight to stay alive.
