Surprise Part II

Filed in National by on October 24, 2008

McCain’s Communications Director was pushing the Todd story with embellishments well before all of the facts were in.

So for all of those looking for their equivalencies with the thoughtless Trig business, start over. The Obama campaign wasn’t responsible for Trig (but some of his supporters most certainly were); but the McCain camp was actively trying to push this story before even the cops had the full story.

So tell me, was this the plan to win PA? A story of a young white woman assaulted by a black man — a black man who seems to take offense that the woman’s politics to take the opportunity to be additionally sadistic — seems designed to conjure up a virtual lynch mob. The FOX news blog post barely hoping it was true so that they wouldn’t just be left with race-baiting seems to corroborate this. Unbelievable. And I’m taking taking bets that this guy actually gets a promotion after this.

I’m beginning to wonder if the McCain campaign is run by secret Democratic operatives. Seriously, could they be more incompetent? Why did the campaign decide to insert themselves into this story? I can think of only one reason – racism. I’m glad it backfired on them.
