    What is that? 9th Symphony?

    Single digits!

And…hooray for Phillies 2-1! Only 2 more games to go!

So, are we going to have a Bush countdown as well?

I started playing the video and turned up the volume. I had DTR on, too. The two meshed perfectly together. I was discussing executive pay and Chrysler and the closing of the plant in New Ark. Robert Nardelli, CEO of Chrysler, got paid 210 million for running Home Depot into the ground. That doesn’t include the 123 million he “earned” before being let go. His one-time compensation was seven times the total amount Home Depot set aside for raises for all of their other employees nationwide for an entire fiscal year. So much for weath redistribution. To prop up the bottom line after his removal, Home Depot did what most companies do: Layoff workers, cut raises and trim hours. Just as long as those employees are not in management. So Mr. Nardelli goes to Chrysler even though he didn’t have any experience in the auto industry. And boy what a job he has done! Chrysler is now in the downsizing mode. But it won’t be management or cuts in executive salary, bonuses, stock options or deferred pay to help the company get back on its feet. The federal government is there to help the failing auto industry too!!!! It’s the workers fault, you know. After all, Chrysler did a great job in the innovation department, designing cars that were fuel efficient and working to be one of the world’s leaders in hybrids. LOL. So now, some workers got laid off. Some plants closed. Some lives are ruined. And Robert Nardelli? He’s still getting paid as are the other 267 executives at Chrysler making millions on their own failure.
