Wingnut commenters wave hand in the air and say, “There is no racism in the Republican Party.”

  2. jason330 says:

When and if they do comment on this it will be to say that Democrats probably did it to double reverse frame Republicans.

  3. R Smitty says:

Democrats probably did it to double reverse frame Republicans.

I just had to…it sounds so much like “Double-secret probation.”

  4. Unstable Isotope says:

I should feel outraged, but all I feel is mild amusement. It must be frustrating for Republicans that all their normal dog whistles aren’t working. I guess they figured people weren’t getting the hint so they had to be less subtle?

BTW, did you read about the email that the PA Republican party sent out to Jewish voters warning of another Holocaust should Obama should be elected?

  5. Mike Protack says:

I assume there is proof the GOP did this?
It is a stupid move nevertheless.

  6. gnarkil says:

First honest piece of literature I’ve seen. Everyone is afraid to say it, but hey, what the hell, 9 days left… It’s tacked to every crack house in Wilmington.

  7. MJ says:

Sort of reminds me of the flyers that I’m sure will be posted in many black neighborhoods telling voters that if they are late on their rent they cannot vote or risk being arrested. I’ve actually seen these in Prince George’s County, MD being handed out in 2004 and 2006. The drivers of the cars had bumper stickers supporting GOP candidates. So yes, Mike, this is a GOP stunt.

  8. William says:

I know this is whisper down the lane, but a friend of mine in Washington DC said that Democtratic organizers not only had volunteers passing this literature out in low-income areas, but had their volunteers wear conservative suits, and they also picked the volunteers with the most conservative looking cars. Would it be so crazy to think that they might slap a GOP sticker on the bumper to further the confusion? I have cringed as national politics has become cloak and dagger move and countermoves… but after all the misinformation I have gotten about Katz, a fine candidate in my district, it seems that this type of campaigning is closer to home than I ever thought.

I am so tired of being right all the time.

  10. MJ says:

Now why would the Democratic Party in DC, where 90%+ of registered voters are Democrats, and where the last 4 Democratic presidential nominees took 90%+ of the vote do something like this? William, I think your friend has been digging into Marion Barry’s crack stash.

  11. Truth Teller says:

Mike of course there is proof just look at their past preformance. Remember if looks like a racist walks like a racist it must be a Rove Repuke

  12. William says:

MJ — that’s why I shouldn’t whisper down the lane. I just left my friend a message, because now I’m curious. I know he wasn’t talking about DC itself, because he lives these. I am pretty sure he never voted for Barry, or has ever done drugs, but I also wouldn’t discount any shenanigans from either party.
