McCain on SNL

Below the fold is SNL’s take on Keith Olbermann. The Richard Wolffe (?) impression is great.

Was it me…or was that a really un-funny SNL last night?

I’m not sure what I think. I guess McCain is a good sport but it was kind of weird because it seems like he’s already given up. It would have made more sense to do this after you lost the election IMO. Did he really just stand by while they made fun of his running mate? Wow.

The Weekend Update segment was just bad, period. Those are pretty much the strategies McCain has been using, especially “the reverse maverick,” “the double maverick” and “the sad grandpa.”

The “Special Comment” was funny. I fell asleep before that though.

LG, I’m with you on this one as well. I’m just trying to figure out how many Starbucks are on my route to work. šŸ™‚

Weekend Update was lame, but the QVC opening skit was very funny.

I read an article that Olbermann showed up for the taping (or dress rehearsal) of the Countdown skit and Affleck was a little uncomfortable doing it in front of him. Either way, it was funny.

I give John McCain alot of credit for being a good sport here and the QVC thing was very funny (Cindy McCain is a natural at showing off the bling). The perfoamcne reminded you of the not-so-scary guy who showed up on Jon Stewart and Dave Letterman to dis whatever BushCo crap was going on today. When everyone thought he really was a maverick. But that John McCain is long gone.

The Olbermann thing was hysterical. That should be a recurring role for Affleck.
