Breaking: Theft in the 29th – Republicans Move to Steal Paradee Victory

Filed in Delaware by on November 7, 2008

Kavips lays it out. Absentee totals for Thorny don’t jive with other absentee votes in the district.

Why were only Republican party officials notified and present at the recount?

Why was the recount actually done in her district, among only her supporters?

What systems were in place to insure that both parties agree the new total was the voters will?

For those who have not heard, the error was not one stemming from the voting machines… It supposedly came from imputing the absentee total into the official count…. The more information that leaks out, the more that excuse borders on the verge of fantasy. Supposedly 80 some Barack Obama absentee votes were given to “Trey” Paradee.

The courts need to act quickly to clear this up.

To kavips I’d add: Why did Dave Burris know about the recount befor anybody else?

  2. R Smitty says:

Check out my comments over there…it appears the entire 29th is a bit odd. Makes me wonder who owned the original count.

I’m reading kavips accusation the Republicans handled the recount. Where in the hell does that come from? Nowhere in the article does it mention that. Manlove states it was an automatic recount that neither side asked for.

Oh, and to go from 15 to 16, still a significant minority.

  3. El Somnambulo says:

El Somnambulo would imagine that the absentee ballots have remained intact, so if there is any issue, they can be hand-counted.

However, this is not the first time that errors have been discovered in counting. Roger Martin won a close Senate race when it was discovered that digits had been transposed by an election worker. Katherine Jester won a close House race in similar fashion.

The Department of Elections in Delaware has been effectively kept out of the partisan fray. Unless there is real proof of skulduggery, El Somnambulo will not be adding a tin foil hat to his Lucha Libre mask.

Maybe I’m looking at something incorrectly, but it appears to me that Paradee still is 41 votes ahead.

  5. FSP says:

“The reason for the change? Exhausted county officials had accidentally entered 24 for Franken instead of 124 when the county’s final votes were tallied at 5:25 Wednesday morning.”

    It happens.

By the way, the State Department of Elections is run by Democrats and the Kent County Department of Elections is run by Democrats. If there is partisanship, which there isn’t, it would be the other way around.

BTW, I got my info from a Democrat.

  6. jason330 says:

Very sneaky to have a Republican give the news to a Democrat to give to you.

Are you sure you didn’t mean to say, “I was in the room and threw 60 Paradee votes in the trash can.”

  7. jason330 says:

    >..or…

    John Atkins is no Democrat.

  8. R Smitty says:

    Hey! Jason look over there!

    yep, Thornburg won alright.

It’s OK to look this way again, Jason.

  9. Liz says:

My, my are you a conspiracy theorist now?

  10. FSP says:

I will, for a long time, take great comfort and joy in the fact that Liz Allen busted on Jason Scott for being a tin-foil-hatted conspiracy theorist.

    Thanks Liz.
