Don’t forget 1/24/2009 We Celebrate with “A Taste of Victory”

Filed in Delaware by on January 14, 2009

I hope those of you on the fence are now leaning on coming to this event. I plan on pan-handling out front with baby sqyuishy. (see attached picture) Now that I’m on skid row I plan on getting all the hand outs I can.  Let’s face it, a 3 month old pulls in the dough.

Click here for info on the event and to pay. If you are uneasy with paying over Google contact us and you can mail a check.

This event is getting better and better. Originally Geek wanted to put together one of his coveted favorite mix tape’s. He said he is the king of those things and has a dual-deck that he has been cranking out tunes on since 84. Bad Company, Van Halen and Aerosmith’s Dream On rounded out with Stairway to Heaven pulls the ladies off the wall and the kids from the hall, or so LG says. Who knew….

Well, we lucked out we are going to have a band there believe it or not. Think Simon and Garfunkel, Starbucks and Reality Bites is my guess. Yes, we will have food and yes we will have beer not just wine.

We will also have raffles of some fine wines. $5 will get you 6 tickets and the money will all be going to Autism Delaware. Thus far we have raised over $500 for the cause. We have plenty of room for this event.

Oh and Deerfield Wines is going to be offering some pretty sweet discounts that night on the wine.

Our special guest for the evening is Lt. Governor Elect Matt Denn.

Join us for a good cause, good wine and great music.

So help me Hef, you better not have that child out in the cold. Do you want me to bring a cardboard box?

  3. jason330 says:

Cute Baby & I hope to see geek in his BTO tour T-shirt.

    Listen though…

We have plenty of room for this event. ?

We have ? We are getting up there.

We will be fine from a space standpoint.

Damn it woulda been sweet to have a mix tape… 🙂

  5. MJ says:

    Oy, such a punim.

  6. Jason,

  8. edisonkitty says:

I wasn’t told the event would feature human sacrifice.

  9. we are like the Bush Administration. We are willing to sacrifice human lives for a good cause.

  10. edisonkitty says:

    Or no cause at all.

  11. edisonkitty says:

Seriously, on the dress front – please define “upscale”. Are we talking tuxedos and gowns, or leave the ratty jeans at home?

  12. MJ says:

I ordered my tickets, but they’re being sent to Will Call. Will, when you get them, contact me through my blog so I can get them from you.

    🙂

  13. pandora says:

Upscale = leave the ratty jeans at home.

  14. edisonkitty says:

    Thanks, Pandora.

  15. liberalgeek says:

Yes. Less than a tux, more than jeans. The Lt. Gov is going to be there for crissake!

  16. pandora says:

Welcome, EK. Can’t wait to meet everyone!

  17. liberalgeek says:

Maybe EK and I can carpool…

  18. edisonkitty says:

    Looking forward to it!

  19. I thought Denn was coming for Autism’s sake? and to sign jason at the door

  20. edisonkitty says:

Geek, I can be DD if you want.

  21. Mike Protack says:

    Are non liberals welcome?

  22. Miscreant says:

There was a rumor of human sacrifice, Mike.
    Order your tickets now.

  23. R Smitty says:

Band? Who’s da’ band? I hear Skynyrd’s been slumming for gigs! 😉

I’m curious, though. Is it someone new, or a local gig that’s been making the rounds for a while?

  24. cassandra_m says:

Non liberals are welcome, but if there is Skynyrd, count me out! (Even if there is a public sacrifice of a non-liberal!)

  25. jason330 says:

    Echo and the Bunnymen?

  26. cassandra_m says:

As welcome non-liberals or the band?

  27. anonone says:

Mike P. wants to come just to torture us.

  28. Unstable Isotope says:

It would be interesting if Mike P. showed up. I doubt the ticket-buying code is smart enough to determine who is liberal and who isn’t.

  29. liberalgeek says:

All are welcome. This is for charity. The more the merrier.
