Republicans have embraced the Taliban as their role models. Mike Castle has embraced the Republicans.
Logic dictates that Mike Castle = Taliban.

For drive-by readers – yes, Rep. Pete Sessions (R-Kabul) really was quoted as saying the Republican minority should consider themselves insurgents modelled after the Taliban.
By far the silliest of your personal attacks against Mr Castle. You mean Day 9 of ridiculous attacks.
Taliban? Mr Castle had the honor of the first Presidential veto for stem cell research, he has been supportive of gun control and has been regarded as Pro choice.
His views and actions are hardly reflective of the Taliban who stone women, refuse to let girls attend school and are cave men.
Perhaps when Pres Obama has to cut a deal with the Taliban in the Afghan War you will be so critical of him also?

Protack – you miss the point. We used to call the Christian Right Republicans “American Taliban” because of their oppressive and Puritanical views based in religion. That was a perfect match.
Now, Pete Sessions has extended the metaphor to include all Republicans, saying Republicans need to stick together and act as sabateurs, just like the Taliban insurgency. Castle, with his party-line vote against Recovery, fits that description perfectly.

The Republicans compared themselves to the Taliban.
Castle’s problem is that his party is crazy, and he does not have the juice to say “no.”
Here is John Cole on the topic:
I really don’t understand how bipartisanship is ever going to work when one of the parties is insane. Imagine trying to negotiate an agreement on dinner plans with your date, and you suggest Italian and she states her preference would be a meal of tire rims and anthrax.
One word: Ouch.

Sessions is reportedly hiding in Pakistan.
