McConnell & Boehner Hurting
This obstructionist kabuki dance might be helping McConnell & Boehner among the Republican toxic 25%ers like Mike Protack who want economic catastrophe so they can say “See?” in two years. For the rest of the country, it is not playing very well.
Going Green Doesn’t mean going Nuclear or “Clean Coal”
Apparently someone else knows that too: The Senate version of the bill had contained $4.6 billion for the research and development of carbon-capture-and-sequestration technologies for coal-fired power plants and $50 billion in loan guarantees for the nuclear industry, but that funding appears to have been dropped entirely, to the delight of enviros. “This is a […]
Breaking: Castle To Vote Against Economic Recovery
Mike Castle will vote with the radical rightwing Republican leadership instead of representing his constituents in Delaware. Politico breaks it down: ZERO SUM GAME: House Republicans are trying to give Dems another goose egg in terms of GOP support on the final stimulus package. As Politico’s Patrick O’Connor reports: “There’s a lot of safety in […]

Each Friday morning from now on, I will post links to some key local Delaware stories in the Delaware blogosphere. UPDATE: Our links to Delaware Watch, Delaware Way, Delaware Libertarian, Lower Slower Delaware, Tommywonk, and Kilroy are all taking you to an Error page on Blogger, stating that this blog cannot be found. This is […]
Comment Rescue: Where’s The Cuts?
Yesterday in response this news, “Markell and the Office of Management and Budget found an additional $27.4 million in state agency budgets that can be returned to the General Fund” Al Mascitti was not impressed: If you’ll recall, Markell said he thought he’d be able to trim 1 to 2 percent off the budget through […]
Sarah Palin News
Kavips picked up on the fact that Palin is passing on CPAC. CNN is reporting that Sarah Palin will not be joining the Conservative Pathetic Acrimonious Complainers (CPAC) this year… The Alaska governor had been expected to serve as the headline attraction at the three day event. Interesting. This is where wingnuts go to start building […]
My Take On Things
I don’t know where the Delaware blogosphere is headed, but I will state this: three moderators here need to begin to act respectful to others. They don’t have to respect them, just act in a courteous manner toward others. I don’t care about the wingnuts who visit here, the change must start within.
Day 16: Mike Castle’s Betrayal of Delaware
The only power in the universe than can keep Mike Castle in public life after this term is the power of Tom Carper’s love.
Castle’s Office has no excuse.
I received the following in an email from a friend who doesn’t want to be identified publicly. I will repost it in its entirety. Called Castle’s office today, told his staffer that I wanted to complain about Castle’s vote against the stimulus, and that “I’d like to receive his standard explanation letter”. I gave my […]
