Liveblogging the Presidential Speech
While this is not the State of the Union, it is a pretty good approximation. We haven’t rolled out the liveblog application since the Inauguration, so come on over, pour some of your favorite libation, and chat us up.
Breaking News: Bank of America still paying bonuses
I have first hand factual knowledge that Bank of America employees in Delaware are receiving bonuses. Employees down to the Assistant Vice President Level are receiving several thousands dollars for their hard work in 2008.
Blogging is a Conversation
It is a conversation that bends space and time. I had a conversation with Allan Loudell and Jack Markell through blogging tonight. Loudell behind his microphone, me in my car, Jack on the telephone. I smirked across time and space at Jack about the Barclay’s announcement tomorrow and Loudell said, “Some jaded people might say…” […]
Dow Up 236, Republicans Blame Obama
Seeing as how Republicans believe the market acts rationally and is the only barometer to measure policies, obviously they’re going to to pin a 236 point rally on Obama. Wall Street always behaves rationally, after all. Ha ha ha, I crack me up. I look forward to comments below from the wingnuts telling me how […]
Obama’s Budget Speech Tonite
Lots of speculation about the speech to be given to a joint session of Congress — and lots of it about tone (which I don’t entirely get) — but here is a good summary of the the expectations (at least from the venues I read) cribbed from Matt Yglesias: Obama wants the 2013 deficit to […]

In announcing his candidacy, Persow listed three primary issues for his campaign – promoting alternative strategies for teaching, increasing school safety, and working to decrease […]
In Your Face Wingnuts

What A Lying Baby
Talk Left has more, but let me highlight. Rick Santelli, now famous for his CNBC rant, has donned his victim hat while telling a big ol’ whopper. Get this exchange with G. Gordon Liddy concerning WH Press Secretary Gibbs comments. SANTELLI: He started that press conference saying, “I don’t know where he lives, I don’t […]
Eeewwww
This is the kind of press advisory I used to hate when Minner was in office. Gov. Markell, DEDO Director Levin to Make Economic Development Announcement When: Wednesday, Feb. 25, 10 a.m. Where: Barclays, 125 S. West St., Wilmington. It usuually meant that we were about to throw a bunch of tax breaks at a […]
Carper still favors capitulation
h/t Politico: “The majority has to be inclusive,” Obama told about 150 legislators and expert gathered at his accountability summit, “But the minority has to be constructive… The minority then has to come up with… ideas, and not just want to blow things up.” Later, when Sen. Tom Carper (D-Del.) implored him to continue reaching […]
