  1. Another Mike says:

They should be very good, and yes they can repeat. It is essentially the same team they had last year, but with a better bullpen (Park is better than Seanez, Eyre for a full season, a rested Romero when he returns). The big key will be keeping the starting pitchers healthy.

They won last year with Utley, Rollins, Ruiz and Feliz having subpar seasons. The lineup is a bit lefty heavy, but Ibanez will hit 50 points better than Burrell, and Charlie shouldn’t have to take him out every night.

The Mets picked up 2 relievers, but the starters still have to get them there. The Braves are better, but are they that much better? Marlins and Nationals? Are they still in the majors?

Bottom line: Stay healthy, and the playoffs are a near certainty. Pitchers get hurt, and it’s a long summer in the Delaware Valley (the other DV).

If they can get the same pitching as last year….

    WORLD FUCKIN CHAMPIONS!

….well, really just champs of the American domestic baseball league.
