Some Alaska News

The liberal blogger’s favorite governor, Sarah Palin, has been having some tough times. Alaska Real (and every other Alaskan blogger) writes that Palin’s pick for Alaska’s Attorney General has been nixed by a 35 to 23 vote.

All democrats and many republicans voted against Ross, and many cited his strange statement recently that lawmakers shouldn’t be worrying about “legal or illegal” when confirming Palin’s senatorial appointment and just do it as a reason for their final vote.

Also kibboshed were a state senate pick and a Board of Fisheries appointment. Can’t Sarah get some love?

Apparently not as Levi Johnston as lawyered up, reports The Immoral Minority, after the Guv’s dad called Levi a “deadbeat dad.” And Palin might get some serious competition as Democrat Bob Poe throws his hat in the ring for governor writes Celtic Diva’s Blue Oasis. Occasional guest to Countdown, Shannyn Moore, and blogger of Just A Girl From Homer, details Palin’s lack of support for American troops. Oh yeah, Palin’s getting sued for not issuing a Juneteenth Proclamation. Damn, that spotlight is hot, huh Sarah?

The Mudflats is a bit pissed that Texas stole the Secession meme from Alaska while Alaska Dispatch reprints an article from The Christian Science Monitor as the Alaska Volcano Observatory continues to watch Mount Redoubt. Are you listening Gov. Jindal?
