Boehner blames cows for Global Warming.

Words cannot express how sick I am of Republicans donning lab coats in order to play scientists on television.  Global Warming is not a political argument, but I’m beginning to think that everything is political to Republicans.  They are solutionless on all fronts – Worse, they’re actually proud of it.

The “debate” concerning Global Warming is over.  (It’s been over for quite some time, and continuing to indulge in conservative idiocy is a dangerous past time.  Actually, when it comes to saving the planet, listening to anyone who anxiously awaits the Rapture is the equivalent of signing a suicide pact.)

However, Doran was not surprised by the near-unanimous agreement by climatologists.

“They’re the ones who study and publish on climate science. So I guess the take-home message is, the more you know about the field of climate science, the more you’re likely to believe in global warming and humankind’s contribution to it.

“The debate on the authenticity of global warming and the role played by human activity is largely nonexistent among those who understand the nuances and scientific basis of long-term climate processes,” said Doran

The type of scientist most doubtful of man’s contribution to Global Warming… Petroleum geologists.   Didn’t see that one coming, eh?  Meanwhile, 97% of climatologists agree that humans play a part in global warming.  Not cows.  Humans.

Global warming is not a scientific debate, it’s a political debate – just like evolution. When people can’t win using the scientific method they try to go over our heads by appealing to politicians. It’s disgusting.

what is great is, he has a point (unintentionally) about the cows. Factory farms are HUGE contributors to CO2 emissions. Hopefully, we on the left..er um we in the realm of the sane…. can take his comments as an endorsement on Ag reform and erode the Texas cattle rancher’s support of the GOP.

  6. Unstable Isotope says:

You’re right A., that factory farming contributes a lot of CO2 and other pollution.

  7. dawning lab coats

Don’t forget about Bill Frist stealing kittens and dogs from local animal shelters and killing them and operating on them in his spare time….

The Man with George Hamilton Disease:
“The idea that carbon dioxide is a carcinogen that is harmful to our environment is almost comical. Every time we exhale, we exhale carbon dioxide. Every cow in the world, you know when they do what they do you’ve got more carbon dioxide.”

    1. No one serious says that CO2 is a carcinogen.
    2. You’d think that if CO2 were good for us, we wouldn’t be, you know, exhaling it.

Where do they get this crap?
