War is Over?

Filed in National by on April 23, 2009

One of my all-time favorite bloggers, Tennessee’s Southern Beale has a great post from the Radical Right saying that war is over. You got it, even though we have soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan and Bush is considered a “War President”, somewhere between Jan. 19th and Jan 20th, the United States went from being a war to being at peace.

In a way it must be nice to be a conservative. Words have no meaning. You can point to a boiled egg and turn it into a Snickers bar. By saying, “That is a Snickers bar.”

Living in a fantasy world in which you can rename thing at random and utterly ignore reality must be fun.

I think it would tough to be a conservative. The constant fear of everything has to be tiring, plus always having to deny reality sounds difficult to me.

  4. Wait till Pakistan falls and Israel attacks Iran.

Then we will see if we are still at war.

    Good luck next time though!

I remember in the fall of 2004 when Hannity was saying Bush deserved to be re-elected because “he had won two wars.”

The War on Truth and the War on Good Government don’t count.

I think Mike actually is refuting the “radical” right notion that Obama is a peacetime president. Wow, now even Mike is telling them they’re wrong!
