  1. I am a native Delawarean, and am not sure that’s anything to be proud of! 😉

  2. nemski

Both of you show an extreme lack of ambition. 😉

  3. LOL. I have left the state Nemski. Lived in DC, Maryland, and Virginia, but I returned home.

  4. edisonkitty

    Indeed, I am.

  5. Moved from PA when I was 4. In Delaware, that makes me an interloper. Although, I have been told by Kent and Sussex people that New Castle County is just Southeastern PA.

  6. Unstable Isotope

Nope, Kentucky native. I’ve lived in Delaware for 2 years.

  7. John Brady

    No
Born in Upper Darby Pa.(Mom’s doctor was not affiliated with any DE hospital)
Moved to Delaware at age 6 days.
Delaware bred-yes-parents were living on Limestone RD NCC
During the time after high school 1977 to law school 1988 lived in VA, NJ, NH & MA.

  8. Stella Bluez

I was born in Wilmington & both of my parents were born in Wilmington (we were ALL born in St Francis Hosp).

I think Pandora can say the same thing??

Though I have spent 20 of the last 28 yrs in PA.

  9. Anon Zoditate Stupid Dreaming

Born out of state when father was in military; moved to Delaware at age 4-ish. Delaware is all I remember, but it’s not enough for me to get that citizenship card.

  10. From Jersey like 3/5ths of the people who live in this state.

  11. Political Observer

Native back many generations on both sides of the family. Sadly for my wallet, none of them duPonts…. I did marry outside the gene pool.

  12. FranLiberal

I’m a native as are both my girls. My mother and her 16 brothers and sisters were all born in old New Castle in a house near Battery Park. Her parents were both born and raised in old New Castle too. We are a rarity now-a-days. And yes, Pandora, I do think it’s something to be proud of. I’ve had many opportunities to move and decided against it. Too many family members would be missed.

  13. Another Mike

Born at St. Francis Hospital, raised in N. Wilmington. Lived in NY state during and after college, but came back for family and job reasons. My wife is not a native and wonders why no one ever leaves. I just like it here.
