Good luck to Markell. It’s hard to fight against the entrenched system.
Yet another unquestioning, sycophantic puff piece from WNJ. In ‘this’ article there was a token reference to him working (or not) with the legislators, but I don’t recall the article mentioning how he boned the state employees and pensioners through the back door (imagery unintended) by increasing the healthcare payments by 50% through the State Employee Benefits Committee, which doesn’t require legislative involvement. Screwing the pensioners, who are more likely to need healthcare, and whose income is fixed, is unconscionable, but par for the course for this nutless coward. He doesn’t have the guts to cut the number of state employees by thinning the ranks based on performance standards.
Portraying him as an “outsider” is a real insult. For over a decade he unquestionably signed every check our Democrat Governors shoved in front of his face.
