GOP Moderates Are to Be Seen, But Not Heard

Filed in National by on May 5, 2009

Apparently GOP Chair Michael Steele has decided to deal with the flight of moderates from the GOP by defining their role:

“All you moderates out there, y’all come. I mean, that’s the message,” Steele said. “The message of this party is this is a big table for everyone to have a seat. I have a place setting with your name on the front.”

But, he added: “Understand that when you come into someone’s house, you’re not looking to change it. You come in because that’s the place you want to be.”

Steele does not understand how this asking for votes thing works, right?

This sentiment is all the rage with the 21%ers. I think kicking people out makes them feel empowered. Of course, asking them for specific ideas on the economy that extend past “Obama sucks” and “We are all doomed! Doomed, I tell you,” results in histrionics.

All they are is noise, and even that will quiet down once the 21% shrinks lower.

Free markets, individual freedom and national security — this is the new three-legged stool of the Republican Party.

The 21%ers are henceforth known as The Stepford Wives of Limbaugh Country.

    Make it so.
