Socialist Tea Bag Fail

OMG! And we’re missing it!

According to Politico, TeaBag Parties 2.0 is on for today via a tele-town hall. They are expecting 30K people at this one, which doesn’t say much about their “grassroots” organizing — this number ought to be bigger than the 200K or so you got on 15 April, guys. Plus what happened to all of your sponsors and corporate supporters and FoxNoise boosting?

What happened is that the so-called “non-partisan” 15 April version (consisting of repubs and libertarians), finally came out of the closet. The Republican Governors Association is the official sponsor and organizer for the 30K true believers to talk to Gov Rick Perry and Gov Mark Sandford. All to jumpstart fundraising for the Governor races in New Jersey and Virginia. Which, of course, means that this whole Tea Party thing wasn’t much of a “citizen’s movement” or even particularly spontaneous. It was a way for repubs to try to get some grass roots cred which, of course, they’ve quite failed at.

    They are so very confused.

Looks like recipients of Social Security, Medicare, and disability payments are well represented in that photo. But I could be wrong, maybe they have all gone Galt.

I was going to say the same thing anon. Where is the red arrow pointing to the crone?

Good points about the social safety net! But that picture is always the problem with those who want to say that government is the problem — all of the government that they say they hate helped them take an afternoon off to protest that government. And not one of them has a clue. But the whole group of them would be howling if the traffic light was taken away.

  6. I love that picture! So, 30K are going to listen to their totally spontaneous, grassroots phone call with the clueless and heartless faction of GOP governors. I wonder how many of that 30K are liberal bloggers?

I wonder if they are doing the broadcast over the government-invented Internet?

  8. The official sponsor of record budget shortfalls and loss of employment is the Democratic Party.

Great government policy by Obama and Tax Thief Geithner.

The Dems fear the Tea Parties because the people the Dems supposedly are there to help are the ones who will get clobbered the worst.

Wait till Obama’s rosy scenario of 4% economic growth fails by 50% and then kills the middle class, social security, medicare and Social Security.

Sure. Fearing 30K people on a conference call. A conference call designed to raise money.

Take the fearmongering over to the wingnut blogs — they are the only place where you can sell that crap.
