UPDATED: My Phone Call to Stephanie Fitzpatrick at Mike Castle’s Office RE “Thank You”

Filed in National by on June 17, 2009

UPDATE: 6/17 9:00am

Hearing nothing from Stephanie, I called back this morning and asked the same thing as yesterday – except – I remembered that the 20th of this month is Mike Castle’s self-imposed deadline to announce his decision to not run for the US Senate.

I reminded Stephanie of that and urged her to call me or email with any info.

I called this morning and had to leave a voice mail. If I don’t get an email back I’ll try again this afternoon.

Hi Stephanie,

As I mentioned on the phone, If you could let me know if Congressman will be putting out a statement on the web site (http://www.thankyoumikecastle.com/) as soon as possible that would be great.

Our research is turning up some interesting things about the web site’s registration and Delaware Liberal is getting hits from national media outlets in search of more information so I guess I am not simply asking for myself, but for a large number of people who are curious about the Congressman’s next career step.

BTW – I just remebered that we are within a few days of Castle’s self-imposed deadline for doing his business or getting off the pot.

“The New York Daily News reports the White House ‘dangled the ambassadorship to Ireland’ in front of Rep. Pete King (R-NY).

However, King ‘chose to remain in Congress despite the Democrats’ desire to wipe out all the Republican members of Congress in the Northeast.‘”

I wonder if Obama will offer Castle something? It may be your only hope, Jason!

  3. jason330 says:

I have said that an ambassadorship is a real possibility.

  4. jason330 says:

Stephanie Fitzpatrick has yet to call back or email.

It occurs to me that Fitzpatrick might not be the right person to talk to.

Castle voted against the war funding bill. Only 5 repubs voted for it. Are repubs now the anti-war party or the hate the troops party?

    I am so confused.

  7. John Manifold says:

Ask Mikey if he’s so heated about a grant to the IMF fund that granular-level politics no longer interferes with foreign policy.

    An irresponsible vote.

  8. Your poll choice is wrong. June 20 (not July 20) is Castle’s self-imposed deadline.
