Democratic Party Rules Committee Meeting Tonight

Filed in Delaware by on June 24, 2009

We got a tip from Rebecca Young that the New Castle County Democratic party rules committee is meeting tonight (7 PM at party HQ). I believe the meeting is open to all registered Democrats, at least as an observer. Here’s your chance to have an affect on how the party operates. Put any suggestions for rules changes you’d like to see in the comments.

I’ll put my first suggestion:
1) Don’t use party money to support one candidate over another in a party primary.

Others?

  1. Joanne Christian says:

Aw shoot, now you guys are all gonna be there and no one can come out and play.

  2. Rebecca says:

    HAH Joanne!

It’s likely to just be me and the Committee Chairwoman talking to ourselves. But, I did want to ask the Dems here if they had any issues I could carry to the meeting. This is the start of what I expect to be at least a year-long process so there will be lots of other chances for folks to chime in.

    Thanks for your issue U.I.

  3. I’d like to see clarified rules about special elections as well.

I’d also like to see something done with the convention. I think a lot of people were upset that they drove to Dover just to vote yes on a couple of committee reports.

    Gotcha!

Leaving for the meeting now, thanks again U.I.
