Train wreck is just about right. I heard another ill-informed bit on the prevailing wage again and now they are having on about the fact that Obama keeps reminding people that the repubs broke it all. I won’t be listening to this crazyness all afternoon….

  2. PI says:

I can’t listen that long. I just ate lunch.

  3. Geezer says:

    What about the prevailing wage?

  4. anon says:

I just tuned in. I hope Charlie is repeating the theme from his blog that workers are overpaid.

  5. anon says:

    On with Mike Ramone now…

  6. anon says:

A plant calls in and asks how you go about running for office…Charlie hands off to Ramone who is off and running with his life story…

  7. anon says:

gotta step away for 10 mins…

  8. anon says:

Ramone has a term limits bill. 20-year term limits (HAW, HAW!!)

  9. anon says:

Topic is downsizing of NCC Council, another Ramone bill.

    Ramone says:

Council staff costs $1 million – $1.5 million.
Too many members makes it too hard to get agreement ?? !!!

    Now addressing racial representation issues…

Invoking senior citizens, his parents – “can’t see senior citizens paying these incredible tax increases”

Blames Council expense for possibly causing loss of police and paramedics (layoffs)

  10. I’ve got a great fund raising idea for the Delaware Republican Party: a Steel Cage match between Protack and Copeland at the Bob. I’d pay $25 bucks to see that.

  11. anon says:

Caller says friend called 911 and got put on hold for 15 minutes. Says there are not enough dispatchers. Apparently following up on a discussion I missed about not enough EMTs.

Note: On his blog Charlie just complained about county workers getting too many benefits…

Ramone, Charlie go tag-team with some mindless blah, blah about having to strike a balance about something.

  12. anon says:

Charlie Lammot Du Pont Copeland thinks legislators voted themselves too many pay raises.

  13. cassandra_m says:

The prevailing wage bit I heard was the usual complaint that apparently construction laborers are getting rich off of building state projects. Which apparently is why this state — and every other one with prevailing wages — has such a hard time getting anything built here. /sarcasm

  14. anon says:

    Construction workers are overpaid.
    * State workers are overpaid.
    County workers are overpaid.
    Legislators are overpaid.

    … I am detecting a theme here.

    * Except when Democrats are proposing pay cuts. Then Republicans will leap to the defense of worker pay, until the budget is passed, then they will go back to their “overpaid” mantra.

  15. anon says:

I’m not sure which is worse, Jensen or the fill ins. When republicans talk, you can hear the voter registration numbers go down. The theme today is everybody but the filthy rich are overpaid, lazy, incompetent, blah, blah, blah. Now that’s a winning platform!!!!

  16. Phil says:

I love the construction worker overpaid part. Now i could see some laborer digging or picking up garbage getting overpaid, but what about the skilled trades? Most of them are in training longer than some go to college. I think carpenter’s go for 4 years, and electricians train for 5 years.

  17. Susan Regis Collins says:

I hate to say ‘I told you so’ BUT the other day I commented the week looked weak…..thank goodness Weds. is hump day and it’s getting near the end.
