Eagles Training Camp Signals Beginning of Another Disappointing Football Season

Filed in National by on July 28, 2009

BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) – Eagles begin training camp at Lehigh University this week with the same coach and same quarterback who have sucked just enough to seem good enough to not fire for the past..what? eight years…seems like twenty.

Update: Jim Johnson, Eagles defensive mastermind, dead.

    Bad parenting, nemksi.

What happened to the Castle and 4th graders post?

  3. jason330 says:

I deleted my other satire tour de force because I know that the national media is now looking at this blog for Castle info.

Also – I agree w. your observation about Nemski.

You’re missing your shot at a Pulitzer and the NY Times, though.

I’m not an Eagles fan, but they were a fluke play away from being in the Super Bowl last year.

  6. jason330 says:

Just thank God they lost the NFC championship game. They would have been crushed in the Duper Bowl.

On the sobering side, sad, but unfortuantely expected news:

    Jim Johnson.

  8. anonone says:

That’s sad news. He was the best. Reid is gonna be lost without Johnson.

  9. A. price says:

Jim Johnson was one of my favorite coaches in philly sports history… other than B-dawk..who is also no longer with us he was the only one left on the team with anything close to balls, or a spine, or an understanding of football….

and Jason, you said the national media is looking at little ol’ DL,,,, are you saying we should be on our best (worst) behavior?

  10. jason330 says:

Sad news about Jim Johnson. He was the best thing about the team during the Reid years.

  11. The problem with the Eagles is that the ownership is in it for a profit only. Winning the Super Bowl is what the fans want, but it is not necessary for the owners to turn a profit.

Uhhh, you think you have it rough? I’m a die-hard Oakland Raiders fan!
