It’s Official: Sestak Announces Against Specter

Filed in National by on August 4, 2009

No more Scottish Law. No more Single Bullet Theory. No more coronations by political kingpins. Here’s Sestak on the race.

The Beast Who Slumbers reiterates his prediction. If it goes to a primary at all (‘bulo still thinks Specter may well retire), it won’t even be close. Sestak easily wins the primary and defeats that guy that Grover Norquist is bankrolling.

  1. This will be interesting. BTW, Specter is going to face the netroots at Netroots Nation next week. Delaware Dem and I will both be there – any particular question we should ask if we get the chance?

Sestak still has a real uphill climb here, I think. And altho he has been embraced by the Netroots, Sestak is not an especially progressive guy. That said, I am a fan of primaries and Sestak along with Specter’s own recent conversion has made Specter vote with Ds more than he would have otherwise. This is going to be an interesting race.

If I had a question to ask, it would be of Specter — asking him how he could have voted so often with BushCo policy and suddenly do an about face. And I think that question should be asked of him multiple times…

I’m rooting for Sestak.Specter had his spine removed years ago.We need to get Alec Baldwin to move here[or someone with some name recognition] and face that whore for the banking and insurance industries, Tom Carpetbagger! When will Tom get off his knees and start walking like a man and represent his constituantes?
