Bold Double Prediction: A Mike Protack loss to Christine O’Donnell & A Christine O’Donnell Loss to Beau Biden
It is so clear to me now. Castle is not running. The moment that announcement is made Protack will announce that he is running in a primary against O’Donnell. Rather than run into a wall of incoherent wingnut rage, Copeland will sit out and hope for the GOP to right itself in time for 2012.
In a DE GOP primary race that will break all records for bile, stupidity, and lackluster fundraising, O’Donnell will win with a vote tally of something like 375 to 310.
Then O’Donnell will be crushed by Beau Biden. I think this is why Castle is not saying anything. He can see the future as clearly as I can.
Castle to the Senate. Carney to the House. Castle retires in two years and Beau gets appointed to the remainder, they’re all happy …

Yup, I did eat my words on that party chair thing, except there were a few sources, my hair-lipped (non-) friend. I will admit that when I got the goods on that, it was very plausible with your always-strategizing history (not necessarily a bad thing to always be thinking ahead, but yours always seems to be of conquests).
