Anyone got exciting plans for the weekend? I have to train for a 5K run on Halloween. Any suggestion for a costume you can run in?

To start your weekend out right, watch Rachel Maddow tear Tim Phillips from Americans for Prosperity a new one (the real fireworks are in Part 2 but watch the whole thing if you can):

I am going to see Smittys wife perform in Evita in Middletown on Sunday. More drama than Eagles v Raiders.

Jazz Festival this weekend in Rehoboth. Tickets still available for many shows and a lot of the restaurants have free shows.

    Geek,

You mean the Evita show where you can buy tickets by clicking on the banner ad at this site, also making sure to tell me the tix info so the Mrs Smitty can pass the referral on to her producer/director? Is it that Evita show you speak of? Maybe the one of the ones showing at 7:30 tonight, 2PM tomorrow, 7:30PM tomorrow, or 3PM on Sunday? Is that the show?

BTW, Geek, I will be at the Sunday show, too, with the two boys.

Charlie Copeland, the guy with the worst political instincts in Delaware, wants to give advice to John Carney.

“Are you running for Congress?” Oliver asked.

“Oh gosh. I don’t know. I don’t even know who’s running on the Democratic side right now. What’s Beau Biden doing? If Biden can choose between running against Mike Castle in a general election or John Carney in a primary, I know where’d I be. Carney is 0-for-1 in primaries,” Copeland said.

In the balance of the column, Celia lays a classic blow job on Castle. Read the whole thing if you dare.

Why Did 1 In 7 Girls Get Pregnant At Robeson High?

    Channel 2 Chicago ^ | Oct 15, 2009 | Kristyn Hartman
CHICAGO (CBS) ― About one in seven girls at Robeson High School are pregnant. Officials say a variety of factors are to blame. Chicago public school full of energy and spirit. It has about 800 girls, and 115 of them have something in common – something you might find disturbing. All those young ladies are moms or moms-to-be at Paul Robeson High School. It’s not a school for young mothers, it’s a neighborhood school. And all of the pregnancies have happened, despite prevention talk.

  9. Jason,

That is hilarious. Thanks for that. Copeland is hilarious. I’d say Copeland is afraid to take on Carney.

UI-Why don’t you dress as Hermes or Cupid w/ little wings on your feet?

  11. LOL. I love that idea Joanne.

Sarah Palin numbers tanking – just in time for book release.

Gallup’s findings emerge in light of the highly-anticipated release of Palin’s memoir, “Going Rogue: An American Life.” Buzz in the political realm suggests that Palin could run for president in 2012, but it seems that the conservative sensation faces a steep upward battle to broaden her viability and appeal.

Looks like “Crazy for the sake of being crazy” isn’t going to be the winning campaign strategy that wingnuts thought it would be.

You loser. You are so desperate to be in the spotlight that you don’t even care if the spotlight is on you for being a dumbass.
