Breaking from AP: Obama Administration Will Not Prosecute For Medical Marijuana

I’ll smoke a raise a toast to this one:

The Justice Department has reportedly told prosecutors that, as long as users are in conformity with state laws, prosecution basically is a waste of time.

  1. This is a change from the Bush administration. They would prosecute under federal laws. I think it made things a bit confusing. It’s good to clarify this.

  11. The constitution does not give the federal government power to control intrastate commerce and impose unilateral prohibition. It is a good ruling.
