Alan Grayson Wants to Know if a Republican Really Knows His Constitution
It is so much fun watching this guy — he is remarkably good at turning the wingnut rhetoric back at them with devastating results. This time he quizzes one of his cohorts Rep. Broun from GA on the law and the Constitution and makes it pretty clear that for all of their talk, walking the walk is still not a GOP goal:

Is this constitutional? The Senate passed groundbreaking legislation Thursday that would make it a federal crime to assault an individual because of his or her sexual orientation or gender identity. Obama will sign the legislation today. GWB threatened to veto the same legislation.
That video is hilarious. You almost feel sorry for the “gentleman from Georgia” who doesn’t know squat about the Constitution or the law. LOL.
Grayson seems too good to be true. Even though I had a slight nagging feeling about John Edwards because he was a bit slick, I overcame it and supported him because he was smart as hell, wanted to fight, and was saying everything I wanted to hear.
Now I have that same nagging feeling about Grayson. His hanging out with Ron Paul doesn’t help that feeling.
But what the heck, Grayson is smart as hell, wants to fight, and is saying everything I want to hear…
Cassandra,
I saw this yesterday (thanks to a Facebook post by DonSquishy.) I’m with you. This was a completely devastating, fact-based assault on the wingnut mania surrounding ACORN. Not surprisingly, wingnuts who’ve complained about Grayson’s healthcare remarks aren’t commenting on this video because they know he’s made salient points that simply can’t be rebutted via their normal, hate-tinged rhetoric.
It was sweet watching that “conservative” squirm.
That poor staff person. Eek.
How we know Rep. Grayson has touched a nerve: Wingnut Michelle Malkin has yet to issue one of her obnoxious, anti-ACORN posts condemning Grayson’s comments from yesterday.
Check. And. Mate. I am still astonished by this video. Have viewed it at least half-a-dozen since last night and I still can’t get over it.
Grayson shows how to handle the wingnuts. Game, set, & match.
I wish Obama would veto this legislation. Then again, I also wish that the Congress would appeal the hate crime legislation currently in force.
This guy has become one of my heroes. I’d love to see him run for President some day.
Will the gentleman from georgia please turn of the theme from deliverence that keeps playing in my brain when he speaks?
