Obama Approval Rating Up

Politico is reporting that President Obama’s approval rating is up to 56% from 50% in September according to a AP-GfK poll.

  1. Yes, I think visible movement on the health care reform bill has helped Obama and the Democrats. The August recess was killer for Democrats because there was nothing to pay attention to other than teabaggers.

    I think a couple of things happened: the teabaggers over-reached and lost sympathy (bringing guns to rallies did not help), the health care reform bill started moving again and the economy has improved a little (unemployment is still dire however).

    The more important question is– why does Rasmussen differ so much from the Associated Press?

    …and all other pollsters. Astreet must be new to this. Rasmussen has pretty much declared that they are the polling arm of the RNC. They copped to that last November.
