Is This A Joke?

Filed in National by on November 16, 2009

I’m honestly not sure.  Given all the lunacy spewing out of Republican mouths this comment may not be just a throw-away.

Host Chris Wallace pointed out that former Vice President Dick Cheney did not bow to the emperor when he visited Japan. (He did not elaborate on how this difference in greeting affected American policy or foreign relations.)

You could … look at the comparison and think, Cheney 2012,” Liz Cheney said.

The bowing to the emperor is obviously the latest outrage.  It ranks right up there with “Michelle Obama touched the queen!”  Honestly, are they for or against protocol?

But this little gem of Cheney running for President has caused me pause.  Are they really that desperate?  Would they actually run a guy that the majority of Americans dislike?  If Bush ever became depressed over his approval ratings he only had to look at Cheney’s to feel better.  Talk about a consensus.  I’ve also reached the conclusion, through experience, that Republicans don’t do throw-away lines.   If they utter the ridiculous, everyone should pay attention.

    Let’s push for a Cheney/Palin ticket!

    Or better yet, Palin/Cheney!

  2. How old will Cheney be in 2012? Do you think Americans would really elect a guy of his age and health condition?

I think it’s funny though. Republicans are pretty desperate for candidates so they’re going to nominate the guy who shot another one in the face?

Over the weekend I heard a speech by Bush saying “What I did I did for my country and the American people.”

It was line-by-line a plagarism of Pol Pot’s exit speech.

they almost elected McCain. you may see Cheney Romney. Remember our president is dithering, Cheney does waht the right wings loves…. blindly sends thousands of Americans to die for an uncertain goal… but at least he has the lack of a soul to be able to decide to do it quickly.

No. Delawareans maybe, but not the whole country.

By the way, check moderation for a great pic of Jeb doing the full kneel.

I dunno. Americans are pretty freakin dumb. All that has to happen is Fixed News and Karl Rove convince their droves of Beckian Zombies that the Bush presidency was Bush’s fault and Cheney was the fall guy. If CHENEY had been president, we would have “won the war” and the economy would have been better. They will convince everyone that Cheney’s low approval ratings were a ZOG liberal media conspiracy designed to lead us to socialism and same sex abortion and any conservunist who disliked Dick will hide it because they wont want to be liberal.

    Rasmussen Reports ^ | 11/16/2009 | Rasmussen

Fifty-nine percent (59%) of Republican voters say former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin shares the values of most GOP voters throughout the nation. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 21% of Republican voters disagree and think the 2008 vice presidential candidate does not share their values. Twenty percent (20%) are undecided. By contrast, 74% of Republicans say their party’s representatives in Congress have lost touch with GOP voters nationwide over the past several years. Only 18% of Republican voters believe their elected officials have done a good job representing the base.

That’s great news for Democrats. Thank you, lizard.

Of course sarah palin shares the values of most republican voters. Most republican voters are vapid uneducated white trash. They prove this at every tea party.
