Friday Afternoon Bacon Blogging — Thanksgiving Bacon!

Bacon-Wrapped Turkey with Pear Cider Gravy. Doesn’t that sound good? I’m seriously rethinking my own Thanksgiving turkey preparation (fresh turkey, honey brine, stuffed with fresh herbs and roasted on the grill) for this one featuring bacon. So tell me what you think:

Doesn’t that look great? And it doesn’t look like alot of work, either. This will make nemski’s head explode, but we may need a Delaware Liberal Test Kitchen to try this stuff out.

And just in time for after Thanksgiving, when you need to start paying those Black Friday and Cyber Monday bills, is Bacon-Flavored envelopes. Apparently the adhesive taste like bacon. Or pretends to. But for those of us paying our bills online, you can skip the bacon flavored envelopes and go right to sandwich made of the leftovers from your bacon-wrapped turkey. (h/t LG for the envelopes)

Making bacon a part of your Thanksgiving celebration? Tell us about it in the comments!

This looks delicious — but it’s too late in my game to do a make-over. I’m cooking for about 24 at my mother’s house, 4 hours away. Everything has to be prepped, put in coolers and carted, then cooked and served at her house. Sort of like an episode of Top Chef.

It’s like planning for a space launch.

But I’ve marked this recipe … and sometime between now and Christmas my family is going to get this turkey dinner at home!
