Breaking! New Compromising Carrie Prejean Footage! Here! Now!

Filed in National by on November 17, 2009 9 Comments

This goes back to when she first ‘found the Lord’. Hadn’t even dyed her hair blonde yet, although the boobs might already have been altered. I’d require a closer inspection to either confirm or deny. This footage has been under court-ordered seal, and sitting in the vault of a television production company . You know, the […]

LOL! Warning: Do not be eating or drinking when you read the following, from John Ziegler’s review of Sarah Palin’s new high school slam book: “For many reasons, this is by far the best book and greatest literary achievement by a political figure in my lifetime.” “I strongly believe that if every Republican primary voter […]

wRong Willams, Clue — Clue, wRong Williams

Update: The online News Journal dropped the following line from Williams’ column: And then, if some quirk of nature would defy all the universe and he would beat Carney, he would face former lieutenant governor, two-term governor and eight-term congressman Mike Castle. Also, I could not find a correction anywhere on the site. Now, I […]

Voluntary Victim?

Voluntary Victim?

Can you be a voluntary victim of sexism? Sarah Palin posed for this photo willingly. The sexism charge seems to be one of context, since this photo was originally taken and used for Runner’s World magazine and that context of that photo was about health and fitness. It would seem though, that this photo has a lot more context to it than health and fitness. Let’s review.

Bill O’Reilly and Glenn Beck had a conversation on O’Reilly’s radio show yesterday and predicted violence against Nancy Pelosi could occur. BECK: Last week, I head you say that — you were on with Dennis Miller. … You two were talking about an insurrection coming. O’REILLY: Tax revolt. BECK: He used the word insurrection. And […]

Scaredy Catservatives

Filed in National by on November 17, 2009 36 Comments

We Americans, at least in the conventional wisdom zeitgeist, imagine ourselves and our nation to be tough, courageous, and superior to all others. Yet, it would seem that the same people who shout “We’re #1!” are the ones almost scared to death of trying or imprisoning terrorists on American soil. If America is so tough, superior and just, then we can handle putting terrorists on trial for their crimes against us. If America is so tough, superior and just, we can handle imprisoning them on American soil.

The Castle Conundrum

Filed in National by on November 17, 2009 15 Comments

To win this election, Castle must now go negative, and he cannot if he wants to win the election. To win this election, Castle must be the moderate he has professed himself to be, and, for some reason, after all these years, he is acting like the conservative he is.

Monday Night Quick Hits

Back in the heady days of the Blogosphere, there came the invention of the Google Bomb. I am not sure the logistics or algorithms involved, but the more you typed in a key phrase along with a link to a legitimate website, the more that site would be the top result for a Google search […]

Monday Open Thread

Filed in National by on November 16, 2009 18 Comments

Happy Monday all! Can you believe it’s already open thread time? I know you’ve been waiting anxiously for one. Now this is funny. An activist speaks at an anti-immigration tea party against European immigration to the United States. It’s quite amusing because he doesn’t reveal all until the end of his speech. Being a know-nothing […]

Fear Not Wingnuts

Filed in National by on November 16, 2009 30 Comments

The latest crazy Republican talking point floating around concerns the decision of the Justice Department to try some high profile terrorism suspects in the federal courts in New York. Their concern is that the suspects could be acquitted (and there wouldn’t be any danger in that would there wingnuts if Bush/Cheney didn’t have so much […]
