Tornoe’s Toon: Markell vs. Goliath(s)

jack markell delaware david versus goliath

As a cartoonist, I’m very rarely afforded the opportunity to do a “positive” cartoon. But Gov. Markell has overcome a lot of obstacles thrown at Delaware amid this terrible recession, including the recent sale of the shut-down Valero refinery in Delaware City to PBF Energy. So I felt it was proper to give him some props.

Next week, back to pointing out the absuritidies of our public officials and the boneheaded ways they try to run our government. Karen Weldin Stewart, I’m looking your way…

When people want to get stuff done they hire Democats.

Maybe the next one can be “The Delaware Workforce.”

    Exactly, Gutshot!

Maybe the progressive gov can do something about the top tax rate crushing anyone making over $60k! Doubtful though.

There are single individuals making $500,000+ paying the same rate as a family of four with a total household income of $65,000! How progressive…Oh wait, that is progressive.

And thank goodness we have a Democratic Governor who knows he is supposed to get stuff done. Wish he could pass some of that mojo on to more of our Congressional Democrats.

Great stuff, Rob. Can’t wait to see what you do with KWS. I’m imagining you won’t start with a picture 20+ years out of date… 😉
