Who is Contacting Me? The Dumbed Down GOP Candidate for Treasurer, Colin Bonnnnnnnnnnniiiiiiiiniiiiiii – That’s Who.

Filed in National by on July 19, 2010

ZOMG! Is he really this dumb? Or is he acting dumb in order to appeal to the moronic base? My pasting the email below does not do justice to the stupid design choices.

Greetings!

Tomorrow, we are formally announcing my run for Treasurer in each county of the First State. Although we have been campaigning for nearly a year, our work is not yet done. Our message is loud and clear:

It’s your money!

I guess his campaign message is the usual shorthand for the thoroughly discredited Republican economic theory that if you cut taxes rich people will hire maids who will in turn buy more lottery tickets (a.k.a magical unicorns will descend) and PROFIT!

Either that or, Bonini really does think money he spends at Wal Mart is still HIS MONEY, forever, until is decays into dust.

Taxes = Evil. That is all these dim wits know, and all they need know. How do highways get built? Where does the poop go when you flush your toilet? These are unfathomable mysteries that man may never unravel.

  1. There is zero historical evidence that Republicans care about deficits but plenty of evidence that Republicans care about making sure tax rates for rich people are low.

If it’s my money can I withhold Bonini’s paycheck?

  2. liberalgeek says:

Never mind the fact that as Treasurer, Bonini would have no authority to not spend money. If it is an authorized expenditure, the Treasurer cuts a check. Velda does that, Chip would do that and at the end of the day Bonini would do that.

Bonini seems to just want to make the pledge to Delaware business that the State of Delaware will just be a slow paying customer if he gets elected. I’m sure that is exactly what Delaware small businesses want to hear.

I like to imagine that Bonini believes that every dollar that passes through his hands is his forever. He puts his little genetic markers on it and wherever is circulates, it remains his. He has gotten used to the baffled looks he gets when he stops by Thrashers Board Walk Fries and asks, “How is my $11.00 from past year doing?” But he just has to ask.

  4. bamboozer says:

Having met and spoken with Bonnini the great and read his infrequent writings I say Yes!, he really is that dumb. He retains his seat by kissing the collective butts of his ultra far right constituents and mouthing the Republican slogans of the day. This is nothing more than his usual, it is all he knows.

  5. Geezer says:

Golly, what happened to all those newbies to the site who were so eager to discuss government over the weekend? You would think they’d have some opinion on this, no?

  6. To Get My Vote says:

Present. We do have a right to pick and choose what we respond to, just like you. I guess you think everyone who reads this site comments. Get over yourself. I told you I would still be here and golly gee! I am!!

  7. Geezer says:

“We do have a right to pick and choose what we respond to.”

Of course you do. Just as I have the right to wonder why someone who’s supposedly interested in anything beyond the treasurer’s race would choose a commenting name like “To Get My Vote.”

  8. To Get My Vote says:

    Ok Geezer, thanks.
