“Wedge” Salad Sunday Part II: Republican War on Moderate Islam Goes National
Feeling that they’ve latched onto a winning issue, conservative Republican teabaggers across the country have moved from protesting a “mosque” planned for “sacred ground zero” to protesting EVERY Mosque project currently underway across the country.
While this movement is unAmerican on its face, it is also stupid. A recent Duke University study shows that moderate mosques don’t encourage radicalism, they cure it.
Sadly, there is no leader or leadership faction in the Republican Party interested in facing off against the radicalized bigoted fucktards known as the Republican base.

The problem that has been seen, of course is that many of these “moderate” mosques are only a few years from being taken over by the radicals as Islamism spreads within the Muslim community. And given the number of terror plots connected to supposedly moderate mosques, it is understandable that people are suspicious of the new mosque proposed in their neighborhood.
Personally, I say let them build — and let loyal Americans remain ever vigilant of the potential terrorist threats in their midst.

Observer, Time and again you confirm every single notion I have about you people. Ignorant, xenophobic, bigoted gun humping trolls who have always kept humanity back.
It is the same standard I apply when a group of Democrats want to open up a KKK office — they have the right to do so, despite the organization’s history as the paramilitary terrorist wing of the Democrat party. It is just that we decent people will keep and eye on them to keep them from engaging in the tactics that have historically been all too commonly engaged in by this Democrat-front group.

Who is racists? Who is a real Christian? What vices lurk in Observer’s heart? That is between him and Skydad. All we can do it be in charge of our actions and hope that those actions add to the world’s supply of goodness and diminish the world’s supply of misery.
“Moderate Mosques” implies there are “radical” mosques.
But nobody speaks of “moderate” churches and temples. That our houses of worship are moderate just goes without saying. No one would ever think that our god fearing heroes laying waste to muslim countries would have ever attended a “radical” church.

Because, of course, our churches and temples are not producing an endless supply of terrorists acting in the name of their faith in numbers equal to — much less proportional to — the number being produced by the mosques in this country.
The point is not that there are violent radical Christians. Of course they exsist. The point is that the Republican war on moderate Islam is wrong as anti-terror policy and wrong from a moral perspective.
