Live Lies
So I have spent the last hour observing the #DESen hash tag on Twitter. Wooo boy. My brain requires a bleach cleansing. These teabaggers lie so frequently and so brazenly that you literally cannot keep up. Watching that feed was like watching a digital reenactment of someone throwing everything but the kitchen sink against the wall to see what stuck.
In the last hour, I have learned that Mike Castle has already made a deal with Harry Reid to vote for Cap and Trade, that Mike Castle voted to impeach George W. Bush in 2008, that Mike Castle has “connections” to George Soros, indeed, he is a “Soros-sponsored leftist.” Now, all three of these “facts” are in fact lies. Castle voted to table the Kucinich Resolution for Bush’s impeachment by sending it to the Judiciary Committee where it died. Further, the notion that Castle has a deal with Reid is exactly identical to the previous Teabagger lie that Castle has a deal with Biden to switch parties after the election. It is always secret deals in backdoor rooms to these people, and if they sound insanely paranoid, well, it is because they are insanely paranoid. And the supposed connection between Castle and Soros: Soros and Castle give money to the Republican Main Street Partnership, and Castle is also a member of that group. By that logic, I am “connected” with Bruce Springsteen, since he and I both gave money to Obama for America (which I am also a member of).
Dude…can you tell Springsteen I said “‘sup?”

Apparently Limbaugh is telling his listeners that a vote for Castle is NOT a vote against Obama, which I guess is the most important thing to his voters.
Well.. considering that a vote for Christine is a vote for Coons, essentially.. because she can’t beat him… then a vote for Castle is a vote against Obama by default.

Fringe, huh? That’s why they had several hundred thousand dollars lying around for advertising, right? If you aren’t a Republican, forgive me, but I don’t think you have any credibility in speaking to which Tea Party groups are part of the “fringe.”
