At the Values Voters Summit in Washington D.C. yesterday, […] Gingrich, who is backing Republican Christine O’Donnell in the race, told those in attendance that Coons had “dramatically lowered” the county’s bond rating[.] But New Castle County government has held on to a triple-A bond rating for years, the highest a government agency can receive. That rating was reaffirmed last week. [..] State government officials frequently point to the state’s AAA rating as evidence that they’re being fiscally conservative. Last year, the state was able to use it’s bond rating to resell some capital bonds and turn a profit.
Christine O’Donnell appeared at the very same Values Voters Summit. I wonder, when she heard that lie from Gingrich, if she rushed to the podium to admonish him for lying and to correct the record. For Christine O’Donnell believes that you can never, ever lie, ever, not even to save Jews from Nazis during World War II. Of course, we all know that Gingrich was not corrected by O’Donnell at the VV Summit nor has her campaign condemned him for lying. So then I wonder why Christine O’Donnell believes it is ok for a serial adulterer to lie repeatedly while she, according to her words, would allow millions of Jews to die, all in the name of honesty. Of course, this all presumes she knows anything about New Castle County government, a government that represents two thirds of the population she wants to represent in Congress.
Further, I wonder why Christine O’Donnell even appeared at the Values Voters Summit with Gingrich. Given her views on the horrible evil of sex outside the marriage, you would think she would be principled and refuse to appear with a man who twice cheated on his wife? I guess to Christine O’Donnell, it is only wrong to have sex before you are married, but once you are, you can have as much sex as you want, even outside the marriage.
