Christine O’Donnell: China Planning On Taking Over U.S.

Filed in Delaware by on October 4, 2010

Thanks, AQC,  for the tip.

Via The News Journal:

Republican Senate nominee Christine O’Donnell said in a 2006 debate that China was plotting to take over America and claimed to have classified information about the country that she couldn’t divulge.

O’Donnell’s comments came as she and two other Republican candidates debated U.S. policy on China during Delaware’s 2006 Senate primary, which O’Donnell ultimately lost.

She said China had a “carefully thought out and strategic plan to take over America” and that she wished she wasn’t privy to the classified information she had.

I have no idea how a sane person runs against this much crazy.  Seriously, how do you debate nonsense like this?

  1. You know, if I had highly classified high-level strategic information, the first person I would think to mention it to would be Christine O’Donnell, amirite?

  2. heragain says:

Totally. And then we’d go back to the spaceship and fix the timestream.

  3. arthur says:

Seriously, I am voting for her. The level of lunacy and comic relief she would bring is priceless. I just want to hear them introduce Senator Christine O’Donnell.

    So full of win.

I’ll have to check over at Delaware Politics for the explanation of how Christine is right and China really is plotting to take over the US.

  6. pandora says:

Delaware Politics is too busy writing posts on the end of the world and posts saying that O’Donnell is calling on Coons to resign. Pretty rich coming from someone who doesn’t even have a job.

  7. jpconnorjr says:

China is taking us over but flatware is planning a nuclear attack and table cloth will be carpet bombing Seattle.

  8. cassandra_m says:

    Very funny, jpc!

that she wished she wasn’t privy to the classified information she had.

Someone should ask her how often her meatballs converse with her.

  9. anon says:

Somebody should ask Christine why so many of her contributors are doing business with the enemy.

  10. “I’ll have to check over at Delaware Politics for the explanation of how Christine is right and China really is plotting to take over the US.”

It’s good to hear from both sides so you can make an informed decision…

    Wow, that didn’t take long.

They wouldn’t have to invite Stephen Colbert to bring the silly because they’d have Chrissie all the time.

  13. Jason330 says:

She can’t be held responsible for the things she said befor she graduted from college three weeks ago.

  14. LOLOLOLOL anon:

Mario Loyola of National Review: “…as the latest Pentagon report on China’s military power makes clear, a great deal of China’s military development has hegemonic and even hostile intent. Its grand strategy aims to defeat key capabilities… of America’s defense architecture on the Pacific Rim, to intimidate those countries that contest its claims to large tracts of the South China Sea (as we saw recently in its dispute with Japan), and eventually to bring Taiwan to its knees.”

This is to say nothing of the leverage our debt provides to China.

As for O’Donnell’s statements in 2006–I certainly don’t know the whole story; may someone could ask her to clarify–but we might want to consider the following re non-profit religious groups and state secrets: Christianity has been making inroads into China. Christian missionaries from US non-profit organizations are very savvy about what’s going on at the top of the Chinese government because of the underground Chinese Christian chuches, some of which have as members key officials who are secretly Christians and thus privy to information not known to most.

Some of the information is top level and has to remain secret because of feared repercussions from the Chinese government, which permits only government sanctioned churches they can control and spy on. Christians are routinely accused of giving away state secrets, so they and their information need to be protected:

  16. Jason330 says:

Hasn’t Urkel also indulged in some wingnut bed wetting over China?

  17. Bedwetting over China is so 2006. Our new enemies are immigrants and mosques.

  18. Haha, check the pingback on the comment at 5:25. Current “poll” question on that site is “Are Blacks Equal to Whites?” But no, there are no racists in the conservative movement today.

  19. anonone says:

For the record, when she said this in a 2006 debate, her opponent was a Chinese-American named Ting.

  20. jpconnorjr says:

So it was just a RACIST comment, anonone?????? IDIOT

  21. Aoine says:

    good one JP

  22. anonone says:

Pretty much, jp. “Ting = Chinese = Chinese Takeover of America” is just like today’s “Obomba = Muslim = Sharia Law = Islamic Takeover of America”

Nothing new under the Teabaggerz Sun.

It’s all dog-whistles and there are a lot of dogs who vote.

  24. jpconnorjr says:

. Yep, Anonone , Being first generation Irish if I ran it would be Irish terrorists. Oh wait ” O’Donnell” mmmm…. she would think of something:)

  25. anonone says:

She would. She might do what she did to Mike Castle: try to insinuate that you’re gay or unfaithful to your spouse. She is a witch, after all.
