This showed up in my email yesterday. Me likey.
Though there are a great many things that distinguish me from my opponent, Christine O’Donnell, I don’t think any is as important as our positions on job creation.
“Believes jobs are created when businesses are freed from endless taxes and bureaucratic red tape.”
That’s the complete text of O’Donnell’s jobs platform on her website: Just 15 words.
That’s a slogan, not a solution.
My jobs strategy focuses on four areas: restoring our innovation economy, assisting small businesses, growing our green economy, and rebuilding a viable manufacturing sector.
I can’t think of a better way to define the difference between these two candidates. One is a candidate that understands the issues and will work for Delaware. The other is auditioning for Tea Party darling.

I hear that Chris and Christine are going to engage in intercourse on TV. He believes that longer is better; she does not.
Don’t underestimate the stupidity of the average voter.
auditioning?
girl, please. She has already eclipsed Saint Sarah as the hot momma of the Right.
Christine would be completely flummoxed if someone asked her to name one regulation she wanted to eliminate.
Debate format and rules here.
“The live audience will be prohibited from applauding or making noise during the debate and may not do anything visible or audible to express support or opposition to any candidate during the debate. Violations will prompt immediate removal of audience members from debate venue.”
This would be embarrasing for the debate organizers to have to stop the debate to toss someone out who clapped. Totally ridiculous.
Christine would be flummoxed if she heard the truth pass between her lips.
“Notes should be placed in front of the speaker. They may be written on letter-sized sheets of paper or index cards that can fit into a letter size business folder or within an ordinary binder up to 2” thick that holds 8-1/2” x 11” pages.”
WHo wants to bet she pulls a Palin on her palm just to be “cute”?
Christine’s whole economic plan could fit on her palm.
“freed from endless taxes”
Does she think the business tax rate should be 0%?
Does she think the business tax rate should be 0%?
Is there any doubt she would vote Yes on zero business taxes? That is the offical Republican position as outlined in the Paul Ryan roadmap. If we lose the House, the Ryan roadmap will become the legislative agenda for Congress. I’m not sure why Dem candidates aren’t pounding on this daily.
Actually, I could go along with zeroing out business taxes if the difference were made up in personal income taxes on the rich. Now there is the kind of compromise you never hear about.
“Don’t underestimate the stupidity of the average voter.”
Amen. Look what happened in 2008.
“Don’t underestimate the stupidity of the average voter.”
And half of them are below average.
Word is that the O’Donnell/Tea Party types will be protesting outside the Grand on Friday morning when Obama and Biden are here for Chris Coons. I’m going to be outside the Grand also, quietly standing with a sign IN SUPPORT. If you want to join me, be there sometime around 10 am. Bring a sign. We can’t let the media just see O’Donnell people.
Good point, June. The O’Donnell people protested in front of the Franken event.
Does anyone know if the debate will be broadcast on radio?
I Like this last little rule……
* Make-up and hair styling services will be provided.
no offense to Chris or John – but do they need a hair stylist or makeup??/ or was this something the Prima Donna needed…..
UD says video and audio feeds are available to all news media, but I couldn’t get a full listing of who is picking it up. So far I haven’t found it on over-the-air radio. But I thought I heard a mention of it on WHYY this morning.
I did note that CNN is airing only the first hour live, and then rebroadcasting the whole thing at 11.
CSPAN will probably air the whole thing live as they did for the Carney/Urquhart debate. UD also has a live webcast.
Obviously they are free to protest, it just exposes them as the extremists they are and doesn’t endear them to the general voting public! Bring it on TPers!
“IN SUPPORT” of what, June?
June – the 9/12 “patriots” are trying to sell out a bus from Dover for Friday’s protest. Curly was promoting it yesterday.
WHYY is broadcasting the entire debate on radio and over the internet http://www.whyy.org/91FM/live.html
